Picture book illustrations for babies & toddlers
I am a Japanese illustrator based in Berlin with about ten years of experience in graphic design. After becoming a mother, I began developing picture book ideas for babies and toddlers, inspired by the way they experience the world. My work blends Japanese minimalism with European boldness. Using playful colors, thoughtful negative space, and textured details, I create illustrations that capture everyday discoveries and gently invite the youngest readers to explore their surroundings.
ダイモンアヤカ
2016年よりドイツ・ベルリン在住。首都大学東京大学院（現・東京都立大学）でデザイン修士号を取得後、グラフィックデザインの分野で約10年経験を積み、現在はフリーランスのイラストレーターとして活動しています。
育児を通して、子どもたちが世界を発見するまなざしに魅了され、その視点に寄り添う乳幼児向けの絵本づくりを始めました。日本で培ったミニマルな感覚とヨーロッパで出会った大胆な色と形に影響を受けながら、遊び心のある色使い、余白の活かし方、質感のあるディテールを通じて、日常の小さな発見をやさしく描いています。
